The KC Marketplace stores are new retail spaces that have been built in each of Kansas City’s three terminal buildings at the Kansas City International Airport. Wellner Architects, in conjunction with Architectura, completed the documents and the first store opened in Terminal A prior to the end of 2002. The store is approximately 750 s.f. with sliding glass security doors separating in from the concourse when the store is closed, but completely open to the concourse during business hours. Each of the stores includes a beautiful fountain central to the store – an appropriate Kansas City amenity.
