Wellner Architects will be completing preliminary designs for the Airfield Sand/De-Icing Facility for the Aviation Department of Kansas City, Missouri. The new complex will be able to store 1,000 tons of Airfield Category Sand and 120,000 gallons of de-icing fluid and be within a close proximity to the runways at Kansas City International Airport.
