New Construction & Renovation

The renovation of this 25,203 square foot elementary school included demolition and construction to create a cafeteria from three classrooms to allow full-time use of the gymnasium, reconfigure the office and main entry for improved security, and create a new entry canopy to help define the main building entrance. Additionally, windows were replaced and the area of glazing reduced to improve energy efficiency. HVAC, lighting, and electrical services were updated to improve energy efficiency.

Wellner Architects also designed a 12,500 square foot single story addition to the school, which includes nine additional classrooms, toilet facilities, and a resource space. A small portion of the building (about 800 SF) included a lower level accessed from the outside for storage of equipment and supplies. This area also accommodates the new electrical service entry and electrical panels.
