Wellner Architects, Inc. provided complete architectural services and extensive coordination with structural, mechanical and electrical engineers for this project that provided animal pharmaceutical manufacturing space for a product transferred from another plant. The 3,050 square foot facility was to be located in an existing 12,000 square foot single‑story building within a light industrial office park. Coordination with the construction of a manufacturing cell already under construction in the same building was required, as was relocation of a product‑testing lab. Modifications to the existing structure were required to provide a two‑story space necessary for the manufacturing process. Mechanical requirements included a dedicated air‑handling unit and dust collection systems to be located adjacent to the building and zoning required the equipment to be extensively screened to comply with zoning requirements.
