New classroom entries maintain the open feel between corridors and classrooms, but provide for “shelter-in-place” in the event of an emergency. New demising partitions between classrooms incorporated existing storage systems to reduce cost and maintain storage. Remodeling a kindergarten and first-grade classroom pod improved the function of these rooms.
