Wellner Architects was part of the design team for the Flamingo Hilton Riverboat Casino Project in Kansas City. Wellner's responsibilities included the planning and design of a three-level, 624-car parking structure adjacent to the casino. The structure also included a service building for truck dock facilities and refrigerated food and beverage storage to service the casino. The first phase of the garage was completed in August of 1996. Conceptual plans were then drawn to expand the parking garage capacity to 1,000 cars.
