The IRORI Laboratory is a small lab designed to house IRORI Nanokan robot equipment, designed specially for this client. The project started with a trip to San Diego to view the robot while in the development stages. The programming of the lab was based upon the developmental information on the robot, and progressed on through the design of the laboratory, the prodeuction of the construction documents and the construction administration. The new IRORI lab displaced 780 square feet of an existing chemistry lab. The existing benches and casework in the chemistry lab were demolished and a demising wall to separate the new lab from the existing chemistry lab was constructed. The displaced chemistry lab space moved to a new chemistry lab constructed as a future phase to this project.
