.

This 4,629 square foot project was the second phase of a project where a new lab for new robotics equipment displaced existing chemistry laboratory square footage. The 4,630 square feet of this new chemistry lab was programmed to accommodate the square footage with the installation of the new robot and to accommodate growth within the lab for the future. The new lab has 14 fume hoods, one of which is double-sided walk-in hood custom manufactured for this client. An adjacent intrument room supports the new lab and provides needed storage of laboratory items. The construction of the new chemisty lab displaced the administration personnel for this client. Therefore, a third phase of the project provided new office space for those people who were displaced as well as a new, state-of-the-art board room. Wellner submitted the schematic design, the construction documents, and provided construction administration for the project.
