The field maintenance facility is an existing building located on the Kansas City Airport grounds that houses the vehicles and people that support the general maintenance of KCI. Although a tenant finish project, the renovation achieved LEED Silver status throught the use of geo-thermal heating, solar lighting and recycled materials. Just this year the facility was recognized as one of the top 10 performing buildings in the central states region of USGBC.
