Wellner has a long-standing history of working with Kansas City International Airport.

Our extensive knowledge of the facility allowed us to bring local perspective to the New Terminal project as part of the design team with SOM in New York and 2 other local architecture firms.

Construction of the new terminal is complete on the site where former Terminal A once stood.  The new facility boasts an impressive upper-level departures and check-in hall, lower level arrivals with International Arrivals and baggage claim, two central security checkpoints, ample seating at gates, and multiple food and beverage options, including local establishments, throughout the building.
