Westar Energy's coal-fired power plant located just north of Topeka is not just an energy center.  It houses private and open offices as well as mechanical and electrical shops.  The existing building is inadequate in regards to space and HVAC requirements, and WAI has planned for the existing interior office & shops to be gutted & renovated, in addition to designing a 40,000 sq ft building expansion for a new lobby and additional office areas.
